“\u00c9 essencial reconhecer a import\u00e2ncia da optometria e sua atua\u00e7\u00e3o, que realiza assist\u00eancia visual e ocular de qualidade e universal \u00e0 popula\u00e7\u00e3o”, justificou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Diferentemente do oftalmologista, que tem forma\u00e7\u00e3o em medicina, o optometrista n\u00e3o pode prescrever rem\u00e9dios, embora tamb\u00e9m atenda casos na\u00a0 sa\u00fade ocular prim\u00e1ria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O profissional da optometria foca na an\u00e1lise refrativa dos olhos, identificando necessidade de corre\u00e7\u00f5es com \u00f3culos, lentes e terapia visual, entre outros, e auxilia na identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de doen\u00e7as. Se for identificado glaucoma em paciente, por exemplo, o passo seguinte \u00e9 o encaminhamento para um oftalmologista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
